Lee University, Arnold celebrate BEST partnership

CLEVELAND, Tenn. (Aug, 4, 2008)—BEST, the acronym for Business & Education Serving Together, is a program of the Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce that unites the efforts of a business and a selected school for the betterment of both.During a recent presentation, Lee University officially marked the beginning of a BEST partnership with Arnold Elementary School. The partnership will strengthen the quality of the educational process at Arnold through the utilization of resources offered by Lee University.

“The Chamber’s BEST program typically unites the efforts of a business and a selected school and involves a commitment of time, energy and expertise,” Sherry Crye, director of workforce development, explained. “In this case, Lee functions as the ‘business’ partner. A true partnership represents more than just a financial commitment, and with Lee as its partner, Arnold will greatly benefit from the variety of valuable resources available from Lee. This partnership will expand learning opportunities for everyone involved in the effort.”

Each public school in the Bradley County and Cleveland City School Systems has one or more local business partners.
